SSU announced that it held a performance-sharing meeting for the ‘Sangdo-dong Brand Value-UP Project’ at the venture studio on June 15. The Sangdo-dong Brand Value Up Project is to revitalize the Sangdo-dong commercial district by supporting the growth of local brands near SSU and enhancing marketing capabilities. Students taking the course were mentored by marketing experts for a semester to analyze the status of stores and plan and implement SNS (Social Networking Service) marketing. There are a total of eight stores participating in the project, located in the Sangdo traditional market, and they benefit from students’ ideas and marketing strategies.
At the event, excellent achievements were shared through revitalization project. Four marketing experts, 40 students from SSU, and eight merchants from Sangdo Traditional Market attended the event. Park Il-ha, mayor of Dongjak-gu, participated in the performance-sharing meeting and said, “We hope that the best practices of the university’s contribution to the community will be extended to other regions in Dongjak-gu.” In addition, Kim Mi- ok, a merchant at Sangdo Traditional Market said, “I had a lot of difficulties in promoting SNS. But I was so grateful that students kindly informed me one by one through the program. Thanks to the help, I’m confident that I will be able to increase the sales of the store by using SNS such as Instagram.”
