On March 14th, a seminar for regular exchange students of the SIC (Soongsil International Community) was held in the first semester of 2023 at the Reverend Han Kyungchik Memorial Hall. The seminar, which was the first face-to-face event in years, started with 137 people attending. The seminar consisted of introducing the SIC, introducing the exchange student program, announcing the sender, and wrapping up with a Q&A (Questions and Answers) session.
The SIC introduction began with the vision of “opportunities for all students to go global” and the ambition of “bringing students‘ global aspirations to reality” under the leadership of student Gong Yoo-ra. In the introduction of the exchange student program, she suggested six things to consider in the decision-making process before applying, based on her experience. Likewise, for more information, she recommended referring to the website of the Ministry of International Affairs or the notice of application for exchange students. In the sender’s announcement, senders shared their personal experiences, and provided practical advice on insurance, necessities, and classes. In the Q&A session, four students from SIC helped solve the questions of those who wanted to be dispatched. They concluded the SIC regular exchange student seminar, promising to answer future questions sincerely through mail or SNS (Social Networking Services) channels.
Through this seminar, SIC faithfully responded to the requests of students who needed its experiences. In the future, SIC is expected to plan and hold many events for their overseas expansion and, at the same time, lead a global community that will strengthen the bond between students in this school.
