Credit Recognition through Work Experience – Global Internship
Global Internship is a program where students can experience an internship by a short or long period course in a foreign business companies. It is a training course where students can check the suitability of one`s chosen career by experiencing a job before joining the company. Students are usually dispatched through Career Development Center. After being selected by the school, students are granted a scholarship and the amount of money they have to pay to Study Abroad Agency is deducted as much as the relevant scholarship. After completing the training course, credit authorization for work experience as a subject is possible.
Information session is held at the end of every March and September and the English competency of the students is verified via English interview. Regardless of officially approved English grade, English conversation ability for practical business is important. Since enthusiastic and positive attitude reflects local adaptability, those are all significantly evaluated. After completing the course, the accumulated credits through this internship is included in the credits of the related semester and approved within the total course credits.
In the short period course, Global Intern 1, 8 weeks are carried out and 6 credits are completed. In the long period courses, which are divided into two types, both are called Global Intern 2. One of them carries out 16 weeks and 15 credits are accepted under the approval of department discretion. The other course carries out 20 weeks and 18 credits are accepted in the same way.
